We are so proud of our Trust school Great Bowden Academy which has officially been recognised by Historic England for its outstanding commitment to local history education! 

Over the past five years, pupils have explored everything from Foxton Locks to the Hallaton Treasure, uncovering the stories that shape their community. With support from local historians and universities, history has truly come alive in the classroom.

The award was presented by Historic England’s Ismail Dale, celebrating the school’s dedication to weaving heritage into everyday learning.

Headteacher Mrs Rebecca Blagburn said:
